For the proposed school…

A Proposal for an Independent Catholic School in the Ballarat area

The Ballarat Frassati Group, a team of committed Catholic parents and grandparents, invites you to an information session for the establishment of an Independent Catholic School near Ballarat.

We truly believe the Church’s teaching that parents are the first and best teachers, and we note that parents home-schooling their own children is a growing trend in Australia. However, not all Catholics who desire to home-school have the time or resources to do so. It is our mission, in co-operation with like-minded parents, to facilitate the faithful education that home-schooling provides in an independent Catholic school setting.

Our Christocentric motivation is to lead our children to Heaven through fidelity to our Catholic Faith, Tradition and apologetics. We draw inspiration from the example of our patron, Blessed Pier Giorgio Frassati, for the spiritual, moral and academic formation of our children.

Our initial research indicates a strong demand for a school that provides a mixture of traditional and adaptive education and inculcates virtue. Our focus is on delivering an excellent curriculum, igniting a child’s natural passion for learning that fosters the courage, charity and social action espoused by Blessed Pier Giorgio.

We have been encouraged by the support we have received from Bishop Paul Bird and Father Justin Driscoll as we explore the options of using various facilities to activate our endeavours.

An update is being held on the 6th August, 2017, and we warmly welcome input and feedback from extended families throughout the Ballarat and adjoining dioceses.

For the greater glory of God,

The Ballarat Frassati Group
